Lone Star Flag

Today is Texas Independence Day, commemorating the signing of the Texas Declaration of Independence on March 2, 1836 forming the Republic of Texas. Originally used by the Republic of Texas and re-adopted on December 29, 1845 when Texas joined the union as the 28th state. Blue stands for loyalty, white for purity, and red for bravery.
