1824 Flag

Anniversary of the Battle of the Alamo lasting from February 23 - March 6, 1836. Although unlikely the flag was flown during the battle, it became used by Texians revolting against the Mexican dictator Santa Anna and fighting for the restoration of the liberal Mexican Constitution of 1824. The Mexican Army was finally defeated at the Battle of San Jacinto, on April 21, 1836 thus forming the Republic of Texas.
